I can't imagine NOT using an agent. I have friends who argue they can do it themselves, that it's a waste to pay for commissions, and that it's easy to sell or buy on their own. Many of them have had bad experiences with agents in the past, so finding the right agent is key. Heather is just the best out there. Even though my dad has been a realtor for over 30 years and I have my own license, using Heather's services was not a question. When you hire someone like Heather you're at an advantage for many reasons: knowledge of the market and neighborhoods, tips on how to stage your place, advice on what the asking price should be, and many more. Having an advocate and buffer on your side can be powerful. Heather fights for her clients in a professional yet firm manner. She knows the laws and rights of her clients. Not only that, but she sold our place for $27K over asking price, definitely earning every single penny of her commission. Many who don't work in real estate don't realize the amount of time and energy spent by agents behind the scenes and the staff hours necessary to smoothly close a transaction. For this and much much more, agents - especially Heather - will never go away.
